WHEN TO EXPECT BABY’S FIRST TOOTH

First teeth will usually appear when babies are between four to seven months old. The lower two front teeth will often break through first, followed by the top two a few weeks later. Molars take longer to appear – usually between 10 to 14 months of age. However, timing may vary and some babies may not get their first tooth until after they turn one year old.

SIGNS YOUR BABY MAY BE TEETHING

The teething process is usually accompanied by some discomfort and maybe even a few sleepless nights. Below are some of the common symptoms your baby may experience when teething:

  • Red, swollen gums
  • Excessive drooling
  • Desire to gum or chomp on everything and anything
  • Crying
  • Slight fever
  • Irritability
  • Mild diaper rash
