Sausage, Pepper & Onion Kebabs
What You Need:
1½ lb. Premio® Natural Sweet Italian Sausages
2 large Vidalia® Sweet Onions
Mini Sweet Peppers
White Mushrooms (optional)
Rozzano® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
12 skewers, 10 (if wood, pre-soak)
12 Steak Rolls, toasted
Liona Latticini® Fresh Mozzerella, sliced
- Cut sausages into 1 pieces. Peel onions and slice into 1 wedges.
- Thread each skewer, alternating whole mini peppers, sausage pieces, onion wedges and mushrooms (if using).
- Brush completed skewers with olive oil and place on grill pre-heated to medium. Cook, turning several times, until vegetables are tender and sausages are well-browned with no pink in center (160° on meat thermometer). Let rest 3 minutes.
- Serve on toasted steak rolls topped with fresh mozzerella slices.
